Default Ignore Function

Is it just me, or is the main guild wars community a bunch of whiny, and half-witted kids? Really, it comes down to::

1. Nothing but complaining inside groups. (Ignore function one, team chat off.)
2. Nothing but spam in the All channel in all major towns, creating any sort of talking to be non-existant. (Ignore function two, all chat off.)
3. That whiny kid that still won't stop complaining about getting dropped from your guild. (Ignore function three, set person on ignore list.)

Is this truely the only way to have some great fun? I think so, and i suggest it to all others that have a slight "anger" towards the stupidity of the massive bunch of the community.

Good thing there's always the guild to talk to. If your guild is not sufficient, i suggest banning untill it is (refer to #3 if this could create a break in the ignore function.)

-- These functions have dropped anger levels through the roof --

-- It works like a charm --

Actually the ignore list is too small... I just turn off the trade/general chat channels while in LA and it solves all problems. You would be amazed at the amount of junk you never even see when you do this, and you can actually sit in town and have a conversation with someone through whispers/group/guild chat without any problems.

The online message board community is great. It is one of the most active and participatory one of all online games.

Fine line between stating an opinion about whiners and doing some whining yourself....

I think the ignore/friends list is too small. I think I filled it up during the first 2 weeks of playing. People on the ignore list get early parole if I have to add a new friend.

Also for some reason, I can still see ignored people over trade chat. Must only apply to whispers I suppose.

I never try to hide the fact that i myself, am angered by things. I myself, know i can react a different. Anyhow, i just post in here to see how many feel the same way within these forums... it's kind of funny, like all the "more mature" people, tend to either solo alot or group within the guild... so all the public people get to see are what i've stated.

Well, I've always wondered if there are every going to be game masters (whether direct employees of Arenanet or volunteer apointees) in towns who people can complain to and who can tell the spammers trying to sell in the all channel and doing other annoying crap to stop, and kick/ban appropriately. I haven't really tried other MMO type games but I know they have something like this. It seems to me like a few cops around towns would be a great idea...I'm sure people would volunteer to do it if they didn't want to hire any.

This is a little off topic but listen:
I was in LA today d10 and no one was using local for trade and me and a few others are having a nice conversation in local. Then this person used local to trade I posted this in local. "Please use the trade channel to get to it hold shift and press the 3 key. Local is not for trading." He said "O thank you" and went and used trade allnice and good. We got back to our conversation and about 5 miniutes later another person does the same thing. Well I post the same message as before hoping for the same responce. Well he wispers to me "STFU n00b I am UBER and can do what I want don't tell your betters what to do @$$ FU(K3R"Well that screen shot got sent to ANet. But then He goes and calls his whole guild out here and they all started posting in local WTS: messages. The really sad thing about this is that he is the noob (proven by his asking 5 miniutes earlier "What does PvP mean?" and I have beat the game on 3 characters, am ranked in PvP, have won HoH, have 1 million+ gold and am about to get FoW armor (I'm already in the granite citadel armor)

Now there needs to be an ingore guild list so that I can just ingore his whole guild.

After a period of time, you could delete your ignore list. Those who have been there for a while have probably moved on to harrassing someone else.

I have cleared it 3 times since June first And after I clear it I don't know who to hate anymore so I get lost and start posting impolite comments about peoples ability to use the search button so that I can get more people to hate (J/K) I'm so sad with no one to hate *sighs*
